Let’s talk a little more on what CBD is…

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found cannabis sativa plants, a species that includes hemp and marijuana. These plants have been used as natural medicines dating back thousands of years!

How does CBD work against anxiety?

Some research has indicated that CBD works with CB1 and CB2 receptors found in the central nervous system. With this interaction, it is possible that it may alter serotonin levels. Serotonin is a key hormone in stabilizing mood and feelings of happiness, joy, and well-being.

CBD is also thought to interact with our endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is a molecular system responsible for regulating and balancing many processes in our body and functions to maintain homeostasis within the body. When the body is not in a state of homeostasis, i.e. a dysregulated ECS, we can experience negative side effects in our mood and energy levels (along with many other physiological processes in our body).

How much CBD Oil do I need to help ease anxiety?

Long story short - there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to CBD dosing and anxiety.

Dosing is highly dependent on each individual and their body’s needs. Some need less, others need more to achieve their desired effects.
